Incredible Ride today starting with meeting some buddies at the Starbucks in Leominster at 14 Commercial RD.  After a cup of coffee and bottle of water we were off toward Amherst and Bub’s BBQ.

We decided to take all backroads and made our way toward RT 12 N to RT 101 N to Rt 119 W and then ultimately RT 32 S.

The beginning of 12 N was pretty rough but smoothed out.  119 was a mess and

really needs work.  Despite the road conditions, both roads were a blast to ride but were nothing compared to what was in store on RT 32.

32 was a pure, clean black-top with serene scenery only disturbed by the cranking of 103s screaming between the trees!  32 stayed perfectly paved until we hit Athol (the town that always gives me a chuckle as if I’m a five year old hearing a bad word for the first time.  Separately the intersection of Barre Athol has to be the work of a municipal worker with a great sense of humor).

We kept on RT 32 until it picked up RT 202 to Amherst Center and Bub’s BBQ.

Bub’s is solid Barbecue with unlimited sides that are actually pretty good.  The location is a little remote but it’s rare to find great BBQ in the center of a major metropolis.

After finishing lunch and picking up a coffee, we headed back on RT 9E to 32E to 122A finishing around Holden.

Great day riding that was around 155 Miles laid out above and 250 as we started in Boston.  The weather was near perfect until around 7PM where we hit some showers near Worcester but a little rain couldn’t possibly put a damper on a great riding day.
